Reinforcing Ironworkers Local 416 offers a registered apprenticeship program that meets the workforce needs of the industry by training thousands of qualified individuals for lifelong careers in reinforcing ironwork. Local 416’s apprenticeship program guarantees an ongoing availability of trained, qualified workers.
Local 416 puts safety first every time. Our Local spends more than $2,000 every year for each apprentice undergoing training, wherein our training programs stress the connection between safety and competitiveness. That adds up to more than 700 classroom hours in four years to certify a Journeyman Ironworker. Furthermore, our training center is provided to the contractor and workforce at no additional charge, saving contractors an estimated $500 – $2000 per employee every single year.
